Awards

Awards

We present two awards at our Summer Lunch each year to celebrate the valuable contributions made by individuals and groups in the local voluntary sector.

The Alan Hudson Award

This award celebrates the volunteering work of an individual or group in the local community. It was created in memory of our long-serving chairman, Alan Hudson.

The Clare Fardell Award

This award was created in 2022 to highlight and celebrate the achievements of young volunteers in the local community, in memory of our founder Clare Fardell.

Our award-winners for 2026

There were three awards presented by Thornbury Mayor, Councillor Helen Ball, at our Summer Lunch in June 2026. The Alan Hudson Award went to The Armstrong, celebrating their great achievement in completing the renovation of the Cossham Hall and re-launching The Armstrong as a prestige local arts centre.

Two Clare Fardell Awards for young volunteers went to Chelsea Horseman from Jigsaw and Phoebe Jones from Krunch, honouring their outstanding volunteer work, unwavering enthusiasm, and positive influence on those they support.
