For organisations

Giving you more than great volunteers

At Thornbury Volunteer Centre we provide a range of services to help you to find the volunteers you need.

Volunteer brokerage service

Every month, new people register to volunteer with us — people from all walks of life. To start recruiting volunteers, this is what you need to do:

  • If you haven’t already done so, complete our organisation registration form.
  • Register your voluntary opportunity so that we can promote it for you.
  • Be prepared! We will put your vacancies on this website and — with your consent — our Facebook, Twitter and local social media sites. It may take a few days for your vacancy to appear.

Finding the right volunteers is just the start

With 27 years of experience behind us, we understand that finding a volunteer is only the start of your journey. Planning is essential to successfully place and retain volunteers.

That’s why we can also provide you with good practice advice, resources, support and training (subject to our obtaining additional funding) and help you provide successful experiences for both yourselves and your volunteers.

Successful placements

We are keen to keep up to date with every volunteer who has been placed. We aim to track all our referrals to organisations but would be very grateful if you could inform us when any new volunteers referred to your organisation through our brokerage service are successfully placed with you.

Please phone or email us for more details.

If you have flyers or leaflets that advertise your volunteering opportunities please send them to us by post or email. If you have any questions or comments do please get in touch.
