Volunteer Co-Ordinator (Fundraising)

The opportunity
Working alongside your local community fundraising manager (CFM) you will be the first point of contact to support your local volunteering team.
Design, develop and deliver an action plan for your area with your CFM including recruiting, inducting, training and motivating volunteers.
Investigate new venues for Sooty and future opportunities for community fundraising.
We would like you to volunteer for roughly 8 days each month. The days and times are flexible to suit you and can be weekdays, evenings or weekends
The organisation
Our 3000 volunteers are involved in:
Stopping people losing their sight unnecessarily,
Supporting more people to live independently and
Creating an inclusive society sooner for everyone
Volunteers work with blind and partially sighted people in their homes and the community, as well as at RNIB offices. Volunteers are involved in many different projects, from service delivery, to planning and user participation
Skills/Qualifications
Good communication skills, spoken and written.
Basic IT and record keeping skills with access to a PC and internet.
Full driving licence with use of own car (alternative arrangements can be made for visually impaired people).
Good knowledge of the local area.
Friendly, confident and outgoing
Good organisational skills
A positive and inspirational attitude with a 'can do' approach
