The opportunity

Open up the ground facilities for the day before play (changing rooms, umpire's room, pavilion, toilets, scorebox, put out stumps etc.

Liaise with tea provider to ensure timely delivery.

Provide drinks to players when necessary

Welcome umpires and ensure everything is to their satisdfaction

Remark and brush pitch at change of innings

Arrange inspections of pitch if weather adverse

Close ground at close of play
