The opportunity

Duties:
To be responsible for the security of stock, cash and the opening and closing of shop premises

To ensure, via the volunteer team, that stock processing targets are achieved, stock density maintained and stock rotation policies are adhered to

To ensure that optimum price levels for merchandise are achieved in conjunction with the national pricing guide

To complete relevant administrative roles, including cash handling, banking and daily returns

To ensure that a high standard of customer service is maintained

To achieve and maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and cleanliness throughout the shop premises in accordance with PDSA guidelines

To ensure a high standard of display and merchandising is maintained

To partake in the society's bag check programme and fully adhere to all aspects of the loss prevention policy

To promote and apply the PDSA health & safety policy

To communicate effectively to the line manager and the area team

To communicate effectively with the stock collector to ensure maximum returns and quality of stock is generated

Hours:
By arrangement
A minimum of one day per week is preferred and the flexibility to increase hours when necessary.


Dress code:
Smart and practical, reflecting the professional image presented by PDSA.
A volunteer badge must be worn at all times.
