The opportunity

A person to help the present volunteers to look after the garden. The Caretaker has overall responsibility for the maintenance of the property, the care of the garden is a cooperative effort between the caretaker and the volunteers. A minimum of 3 hours per week would be appreciated. Initially the new volunteer would be asked to work at the same times as the present helpers. Anyone who is interested is welcome to visit the garden and talk to the staff and volunteers.

The organisation

Range of community events from bonfire night, dramas to railway exhibition. Play host to a range of recreational groups and charities. Open to all. Maintain a grade 2 listed site for community enjoyment.

Skills/Qualifications

Knowledge of plants and gardening skills would be useful but not essential.
