Cats Protection

The opportunity

Cats Protection (CP) relies on volunteers to raise funds and awareness for the charity by assisting with fundraising activities in their local area. This role aims to help promote the charitys cat welfare messages whilst also generating income to support our work.

The Fundraising Team Leader works with the committee to develop a fundraising plan to generate income to support local CP services. They will coordinate the groups fundraising activities ensuring they comply with CP policies and guidelines and any relevant local licences or permits are obtained. In addition, they will work closely with the Treasurer to ensure that all monies are collected and accounted for.

The organisation

Formed in 1927, Cats Protection has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. We now helpmore than 193,000 cats and kittens every year, through our network of 250 voluntary-run Branches and 29 Adoption Centres.
The Bristol & District branch of Cats Protection is run entirely by volunteers who work from their own homes.

The branch covers the following postcode areas:

BS1-11, BS13-16, BS30-32, BS3437, BS40-41

Skills/Qualifications

This is a key role and requires strong organisational, communication and leadership skills to lead and motivate the fundraising team. Enthusiasm and an out going personality, plus some knowledge or experience of fundraising will be an asset.
