Cats Protection

The opportunity

Cats Protection relies on volunteers to raise funds and awareness for the charity by assisting with fundraising activities in their local area. This role aims to help promote the charitys cat welfare messages whilst also generating income to support our work.

The role of volunteer Fundraiser can include a number of activities ranging from assisting at events, to planning and organising new activities. Fundraisers undertake a wide variety of duties either behind the scenes or leading activities depending on their skills and interests.

The organisation

Formed in 1927, Cats Protection has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. We now helpmore than 193,000 cats and kittens every year, through our network of 250 voluntary-run Branches and 29 Adoption Centres.
The Bristol & District branch of Cats Protection is run entirely by volunteers who work from their own homes.

The branch covers the following postcode areas:

BS1-11, BS13-16, BS30-32, BS3437, BS40-41

Skills/Qualifications

This role requires enthusiasm, commitment and ability to work well with other members of the fundraising team. Good communication skills and knowledge of the local area and community will also be useful.
