The opportunity

Volunteers are needed to help manage a children's savings scheme. Money Munchers is run in local schools by Severn Fair Credit Union. The idea of the scheme is to help children learn the value of money and to save for things they want. Children save pocket money amounts by bringing money to the weekly collection at the school that is managed by parent volunteers. Now looking to recruit volunteers from outside the school who may be looking for work experience. The work involves meeting parents and children, taking and accounting for small sums of cash and a minimal amount of administration as part of a simple banking system. You will work with parent volunteers currently running the scheme and full training given. Fun and sociable role.

Skills/Qualifications

Good at figures and have good interpersonal skills.
