Cadet Youth Worker - Thornbury

St John Ambulance

The opportunity

Want to learn and practice your leadership skills?

Ever thought of working with young people? You could support them to learn about new things like how to save a life, photography, the dangers of drug abuse , communication and other life skills to help them make positive differences in their own lives.

Although St John Ambulance asks for committed and reliable volunteers, on top of the opportunity to meet new friends and have fun, St John Ambulance offers a structured induction with a great training and support package appropriate to your role.

St John Ambulance has a thriving youth sector which runs Cadets for 10-17 year olds and give young people the opportunity to have fun, learn leadership skills and do loads more towards their Grand Prior award whilst doing something worthwhile and getting a sense of achievement.

The training we offer includes:
First Aid
Working Safely with Young People
and so on

This looks great on your CV, gives you hands on experience, new skills and helps make a difference in young peoples lives, giving you a sense of achievement!

It only takes a few hours a week and there are loads of other fun activities at weekends and camps in the holidays which you can get involved in throughout the year as well. It all depends how much time you want to give!

All members are expected to have an enhanced CRB carried out by St John Ambulance.
