The opportunity

Are you proud of you community but sick of seeing litter dirtying the streets? This is your chance to do something about it. cleanup UK helps groups and individuals to organise clean ups of their local area as part of Keep Britain Tidy's national 'Big Tidy Up' campaign. We now need volunteers to work with us in the North West Leicestershire area on a short term basis to ecnourage more people to roll up their sleeves and organise cleanup events, working together to help create greener, cleaner communities.

We are looking for positive, enthusiastic people, good communicators who are willing to use their skills to energise others to take action to make their area a better place to live.

You'll be part of a friendly team and will have all the support you need, we'll pay your expences; give you the opportunity to learn new skills and you'll get to know some great people! Also, you dont have to do this on your own , we'd be very happy if you encouraged one or two of your friends to join in.

The organisation

Our work on the ground focuses on helping those who are most in need to combat the litter problem where they are. This leads not only to more pleasant surroundings in which to live but also, more importantly, helps residents to rid their area of crime and antisocial behaviour and to feel part of a more neighbourly and much safer community.

Skills/Qualifications

Positive, enthusiastic, good communicator, possible access to email but not essential, someone who cares for their community
