The opportunity

Glos S FM provides the opportunity for local businesses and companies to advertise on air. We are looking for new members of our advertising team. The team takes responsibility for recruiting those wishing to advertise, both existing and new customers. Members of the team also liaise regarding the writing and production of advertisements. Between 40-60 companies advertise during each broadcast and the revenue generated makes a significant contribution to the cost of being on air.

The organisation

We provide a wide range of local interest radio programmes for four weeks, twice each year. covering community participation in areas which include health, recreation, education, commerce and local democracy. To support the broadcast we have teams handling recruitment, promotion, programming, advertising, fund raising, technical and youth issues.

Skills/Qualifications

Some experience of sales work would be an advantage

Getting there

Always at a Thornbury location. The Advertising Group meets as and when required, usually monthly, on days and times to suit. Frequency of meetings may change of every 2 weeks.
